I'm a member of various private trackers that are very specific about which clients and versions they allow and I would like to use Vuze on my NAS if possible. I have used the Java Manager package to install the latest supported Java package (1.6.0_43).
I have had a look at download manager and it doesn't really meet my requirements. I have also looked at Transmission and is also too simplistic. I haven't actually looked at rTorrent/ruTorrent but some of the instructions I've seen a bit much for a NAS noob like me. I do know a little old school unix (my editing never progressed beyond vi) but a lot of this packaging stuff is new to me.
The key things I need are
As the DS1812 has two LAN ports I would also like to direct the bittorrent traffic to a specific port while the other port would just be dedicated for my local network. The bittorrent port would be connected directly to my router while the local port would be to my separate gigabit switch.

I will show you here how to backup your Synology in Azure. The first thing you need to do is to create a storage account in Azure. Login in Azure and click on 'New' in the Azure portal: Search by 'storage': and select 'Storage account' Select 'Resource Manager' to create a new resource for the.
- The ability to set my own listening port (and then I can set up the same one in my router)
- Be able to rename torrents. By this I don't mean the .torrent file but the actual file that is being downloaded, and if it is a directory then also rename any files within that directory.
- Enable encryption
- Disable DHT
- Be able to (optionally on some torrents but not others) move torrents to other directories and be able to continue seeing them
- Be able to see the numbers of seeders and leachers on the individual torrents
- Be able to create my own torrents for seeding (I didn't even see this in Download Manager)
